You know, I don't know if there are any academic standards on crediting as it applies to wikis. I'll keep an eye out and post if I find any resources. You can certainly define some standards for your class as you see fit. I think maybe a dedicated page on the wiki just for resources might work. As far as the left-hand navigation is concerned, some wiki themes have an additional menu that appears on the right as well.
